think I should really let everyone know what's gogin on with the Termite Club 7" series.
The first one, a split between Jazkamer and Ashtray Navigations, was sent off the GZ pressing plant via the London based broker SFH.
Now as those of you who look at other forums will know, SFH proceeded to go bust at the end of March, without a word on what had happened to our pressing. We heard third hand and had to contact themto get any information, when it came it seemed very sketchy.
The ex employee of SFH has told Phil, who paid for it, that our 7" was pressed and is sitting in the warehouse at GZ. However it has not been paid for, and so will not leave Czech until they recieve further payment, even though SFH cashed the cheque and funds cleared out of Phil's account. Understandably Phil is severlely dischuffed about this and not keen to pay twice for this record.
The guy who we were given as SFH's administrator is strangely unobtainable on his work number, and a claim form he said he'd send to us over a week ago has failed to materialise. We're going to contact GZ direct, because we think they might be slightly more helpful, and a memeer of GZ staff has said SFH also did not tell them when they went out of business. So we'll see if we can get somewhere with that.
SFH was accepted as the crazily priced cheapest vinyl manufacturers in the UK, used by a lot of independent labels, and looking at web-boards i'm starting to realise just how many people this has hit.
Talk about the curse of Termite- oh well! The series will go ahead for those who have given us money, just obviously through a it more established and reliable company, of which in vinyl manufacture there are not many.
Come on, anyone care to suggest one then
